While the long-term replacement to the short-lived Roy Rogers booth at the Stamp food court is still in the air, a spooky temporary replacement will fill its spot. Spirit Halloween will run a pop-up shop in its place until the end of the month.

The store is set to offer a plethora of much-needed haunting Halloween goods to campus while temporarily keeping the ghost of Roy Rogers at bay. From awkwardly sexy costumes of things that shouldn’t be sexy to foam weapons that could legitimately hurt if you swing them at people, the spooky selections are set to go on sale.

The true magic of Spirit Halloween is the philanthropy behind the costumes. Although the company raises tens of thousands of dollars every year for children’s hospitals, the real charity is the service done for the goth community. Spirit Halloween is the leading employer of goth and emo community members, setting a quota of at least three staff members who wear black eyeshadow and niche indie band t-shirts in every store.

“I get rejected by companies left and right because of my nose and lip piercings,” said Spirit Halloween employee Multa Pultatoos. “I’m just so happy that there’s a store that allows my uniform to be all-black.”

The pop-up spook store will close during the first week of November. As the Halloween festivities come to a close after the end of the month, Stamp is currently working with a local Christmas tree farm to make arrangements for a pop-up tree and Christmas decoration store in Spirit Halloween’s place. The Christmas store is set to open on November 1st.
